Unlock Your Mindful Edge: A Situational Awareness Workshop

hosted by Michael Zollicoffer

45 US dollars
West State Street

Service Description

Situational awareness isn't about living in fear or constant paranoia—it’s about cultivating deep, calm, present-moment perception. Led by Michael Zollicoffer (Third Eye Space owner, YTT 200, 10+ years in self-defense instruction, former Front Sight Firearms instructor, and Texas LTC educator), this unique 2-hour interactive workshop merges tactical readiness with ancient yogic mindfulness. Discover how the fine detail observation used to watch dew drops on grass translates directly into recognizing environmental anomalies, trusting your gut, and staying centered in high-stress situations. What We’ll Cover: Color Code of Awareness: Learn how to comfortably baseline in "Condition Yellow"—staying relaxed, alert, and tuned-in without experiencing adrenal fatigue. Nervous System Regulation & Breathwork: Practice Skull Shine Breath (Kapalabhati Pranayama) to clear mental fog and heighten focus, Box Breathing to down-regulate panic under acute stress, and 3-6-9 Breathing for deep integration. Intuition & "The Gift of Fear": Deconstruct how your body processes subconscious hazard signals (spidey sense) and learn to honor physical cues over social politeness. Real-World Application: Analyze everyday scenarios—navigating parking lots, retail stores, driving, and evaluating new interpersonal interactions safely. Responding vs. Reacting: Understand the physiology of fight/flight/freeze and how to harness parasympathetic control to make conscious, deliberate decisions under pressure. Who Is This For? This workshop is open to all community members and experience levels. No prior martial arts or advanced yoga experience is required—just an open mind and a desire to move through the world with empowered confidence. What to Bring: A comfortable yoga mat or cushion A water bottle A notebook & pen for scenario notes Comfortable clothing that allows for light, natural movement We have yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters available while they last.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy At this time, we do not charge a cancellation or no-show fee. We are grateful to be able to offer this flexibility and hope to continue doing so as our community grows. We understand that life happens and circumstances can change unexpectedly. However, as classes become fuller, a late cancellation or no-show may prevent another member of our community from having the opportunity to attend. To help us best serve everyone: Cancellations: Please cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled class or booking for a refund to be considered. Refunds are not guaranteed. Rescheduling: Please reschedule at least one hour before class whenever possible so that we have the opportunity to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. This policy may be updated in the future as needed to ensure we can continue providing the best possible experience for our entire community. Thank you for respecting our instructors, staff, and fellow community members by canceling or rescheduling as early as possible when you are unable to attend. Your consideration helps us continue to provide flexibility while making space for everyone who wants to join us.
